SUPERIOR On a Monday afternoon where temperatures felt closer to July 2 than Oct. 2, a trio of college students from the University of Wisconsin-Superior found their way to the disc golf course at Central Park in Superior.
“My professor gave us the day off from class and said ‘spend it outside in the nice weather,’” said Ethan Ulman, from Mankato.
At their peak during the disc golf season the trio of Ulman, Luke Huggins, of Madison, and Jake Kidd, of Superior, would golf a few times a week.
“But we’d go 27 holes each time,” Huggins said.
With the temperature in the 80s, the students all wore shorts and lightweight shirts as they played their second nine.
