Mark Stutrud
Summit Brewing Co. St. Paul, announced that founder and CEO Mark Stutrud will retire in March 2024. Chief Strategy Officer Brandon Bland has been named to succeed him, and Stutrud will assume the role of chairman of the board. Bland has been with the brewery since 2017.
CONSTRUCTION
Kraus-Anderson Construction Co., Minneapolis, announced the promotion of Tony Peleska to chief information officer; Peleska previously served as vice president of information technology and earlier was CIO for Minnesota Housing Finance Agency.
DEVELOPMENT
The Opus Group, a Minneapolis-based real estate, construction and design firm, announced the promotion of Anne Marie Solberg to vice president and general counsel. Solberg previously was senior associate general counsel. She succeeds Tom Hoben, who recently retired. The firm also announced that Kelly Baker, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Thrivent, has been elected to its board of directors and that Scott Larson has joined the company as vice president of capital markets.

Landmark Conservancy, a land trust concentrated on maintaining wilderness land in western and northern Wisconsin, announced the appointment of Rick Remington as executive director.

U.S. Bank, Minneapolis, announced the appointment of Shruti Patel as chief product officer for the business banking segment. Patel most recently was head of global product partnerships and monetization at Shopify.

Wayzata-based global commodity trader Cargill announced that global vice president of food safety Sean Leighton has been named president of the Institute of Food Technologists, a Chicago-based organization concentrating on food science.

Gravie, a Minneapolis-based health benefits manager for business, announced the hiring of Andrew Reeves as the company’s first senior vice president and general manager of Gravie ICHRA (Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement). … Care Providers of Minnesota, a Bloomington-based organization focused on post-acute and long-term health care needs, announced that Thomas (Toby) Pearson has been named president and CEO, effective Jan. 1. He succeeds Patti Cullen, who is retiring after 37 years with the organization.
HONORS
St. Paul-based U.S. District Court Judge Donovan Frank will be honored with the Charlie Smith Award for outstanding service to Minnesotans with disabilities at the Access Press Gala and Awards Celebration Nov. 3. Smith, a quadriplegic, was the founding editor of Access Press, a Minnesota news source for people with disabilities.

Fredrikson, Minneapolis, announced a new leadership team led by Melodie R. Rose, who becomes the firm’s first female president. Rose has been with the firm for 33 years. The firm also announced the appointments of executive vice presidents Kevin Goodno and Jamie Snelson, Chief Operating Officer Ann Rainhart, and shareholder Loan T. Uponor North America, a maker of plumbing technology for residential and industrial use, announced the opening of its Uponor Experience Center for trades professionals and others at its Apple Valley headquarters. … Olympic Steel, Cleveland, Ohio, announced the promotion of Leah M. Kiley to general manager of its Minneapolis plate processing facility. Kiley most recently served as the company’s regional sales manager.

Family Achievement Foundation, a Woodbury-based support organization for parents of special-needs children, announced it has named Doug Killian acting executive director. … Presbyterian Homes & Services, a Roseville-based community service organization serving the housing and health care needs of older adults, announced the hire of Becky Rauen as senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Rauen previously was vice president of human resources for North Memorial Health.

The Owatonna Area Business Development Center announced the hire of Sean E. Williams as executive director, succeeding Bill Owens, who is retiring in October.
