Pumpkins will fly again at 18th Stillwater Harvest Fest

9 October 2023

Autumn has arrived, and with it, the return of the yearly Stillwater Harvest Fest.

In its eighteenth year, the festival will feature a child costume parade, a variety of local food vendors, and performances from local music talent such as Free and Easy.

The headline event is the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off at 10 a.m. Saturday, which will feature at least one pumpkin weighing over 2500 pounds, according to contest organizers.

Other highlights include the Pumpkin Regatta at 2 p.m. Sunday, where participants paddle hollowed-out gourds across the St. Croix River, and the Pumpkin Drop at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, where a squash will be squashed after a 100-foot fall from a crane:

The Stillwater Harvest Fest takes place 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at Lowell Park in downtown Stillwater. Admission is free. Info: harvestfeststillwater.com.
