Metro Transit seeks feedback on G Line stations along Rice, Robert streets

11 October 2023

Metro Transit is seeking feedback on proposed bus rapid transit stations along Rice and Robert streets, the future corridor of the G Line bus.

The corridor, which generally follows the Route 62 and Route 68 bus routes, will be constructed in two major phases from the new Little Canada Transit Station near Rice Street and Little Canada Road to the Dakota County Northern Service Center at Robert Street and Mendota Street in West St. Paul.

The first phase will focus on the Rice Street stops between Little Canada and downtown St. Paul, with construction coordinated with Ramsey County and unfolding in 2024 and 2025.

A second phase will stretch from Robert and Fillmore streets to the Northern Service Center, with construction likely completed by the end of 2028 to accommodate planned roadwork along Robert Street.

Comments are due by Nov. 6. For more information, visit metrotransit.org/g-line-project.
