Source: Vikings trade left guard Ezra Cleveland to Jaguars

31 October 2023

After watching Dalton Risner in action for the past couple of weeks, the Vikings felt good enough about his play to move on from Ezra Cleveland.

A source confirmed to the Pioneer Press on Tuesday that the Vikings have traded Cleveland to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a sixth-round pick.

There’s a good chance Risner would have continued as the starting left guard for the Vikings regardless of what happened at the trade deadline. That much is confirmed with Cleveland no longer a part of the organization.

Originally selected by the Vikings in the 2020 NFL Draft, Cleveland was set to be an unrestricted free agent after this season. He has missed the past couple of games with a foot injury.
