Social worker joins St. Louis County attorney in outreach role

DULUTH A new leader has been appointed to a public-facing role in the St. Louis County Attorney’s Office.

In addition to supervising victim and witness services staff at four office locations, Timothy Myles “will be responsible for developing and implementing an external communications plan, enhancing outreach to underserved populations and engaging with community partners,” according to an announcement from County Attorney Kim Maki.

Myles most recently served as a child protection social worker for the county and as a negotiator for the Emergency Response Team at the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office. He has long been active in other community roles, having served on the Floodwood School Board and as a football and basketball coach at several area schools and colleges.

Myles has a doctorate of education in community care from Liberty University. He received a master’s in education and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ashford University.

“I am honored that Dr. Myles, with his incredible experience and lengthy service to the people of our region, has joined the County Attorney’s Office,” Maki said in a statement. “I am excited to work with him to better serve the citizens of St. Louis County through increased outreach and accessibility.”
