The Oliver company has opened the Glen Mine in Chisholm, while work on the underground properties of the Hanna Ore Mining company will continue throughout the winter. The Shenango Furnace Company is also continuing work and plans to furnish steady employment in the city.

Two men driving home from church services were struck and killed by a train in Superior, while their wives were critically injured. Meanwhile, a Duluth woman was killed by a car after getting off a bus on the same corner where a teenage boy was fatally struck Sept. 17.
