Business People: Former St. Paul planning director Cecile Bedor takes role at Habitat for Humanity

Cecile Bedor

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity announced the appointment of Cecile Bedor as chief real estate officer. Previously, Bedor worked in executive roles with CommonBond Communities, Greater MSP, and was the City of St. Paul’s director of planning and economic development and executive director of the city’s Housing & Redevelopment Authority. She has also held positions with the Minneapolis Public Library, the National Equity Fund, the Metropolitan Council, and Aeon.

CONSTRUCTION

Kraus-Anderson Construction, Minneapolis, announced the promotions of Camile Helou to senior vice president and Pat Mulcahey to vice president. Helou and Mulcahey most recently were co-directors of operations for the firm’s Minneapolis office.

EDUCATION

The University of Minnesota announced the retirement of Stuart Mason, associate vice president and chief investment officer, at the close of 2023. He is succeed by Andrew Parks, formerly deputy chief investment officer. The investment office manages the financial assets of the university, approximately $4.5 billion.

Blaze Credit Union announced it launch at the beginning of 2024 following the legal merger of Hiway Credit Union and Sprire Credit Union. The company is based jointly in St. Paul and Falcon Heights. Blaze CEO is Dan Stoltz, formerly Spire’s president and CEO; Dave Boden, formerly Hiway’s president and CEO, becomes Blaze president and chief transformation officer. … Mahoney, a St. Paul-based accounting firm, announced the promotion of Jeff DeGree to associate director. The firm also announced the following staff promotions: associates Anna Nguyen, Abigail Hansen, and Chow Thao; senior associates Paul O’Connor, Ellie Beckman and Anjelica Smith. … Barton, Walter & Krier, a Maple Grove-based accounting firm, announced the following new hires: senior tax: Andy Lindberg, Lani Hattling and Matt Johnson; staff accountants: Ciara Vanston, Diana Pilipchuk and Jace Westman; and Stacy Behlivan, bookkeeper.

MFC (Minnesota Flexible Corp.), a South St. Paul-based maker of fluid handling equipment for industry, announced the promotion of Andy Larsen as president, succeeding Will Stewart, who will continue as CEO. Larsen most recently was the company’s executive vice president.

Build Wealth MN, a Minneapolis-based community funding organization, announced the following staff additions: senior loan processors Michiah Greene and Justin Nguyen; Jorea Fleurant, communications specialist, and Kandice Nelson, director of communications.

The Wilds Golf Club, Prior Lake, has named Joseph “JJ” Wagner general manager.

RETAIL

Target Corp., Minneapolis, announced the appointment of Michael Fiddelke as chief operating officer, effective Feb. 4; Fiddelke has served as chief financial officer since Nov. 1, 2019, and will continue in that role until a successor CFO is named.

SERVICES

C.H. Robinson Worldwide, an Eden Prairie-based global provider of third-party shipping logistics for business, announced the hire of Jim Reutlinger as vice president, Enterprise Strategy Program Management; Reutlinger is an expert in Continuous Improvement and Lean methodology and also runs Reutlinger Consulting LLC.

TECHNOLOGY

Icario, a St. Louis Park-based provider of health care software and related tech services, announced it has named Aerste Howells chief commercial officer; Howells most recently was chief revenue officer and chief executive officer at Cureatr.
