Scott Hildebrand, the city administrator in Pine City, has been named city administrator in Landfall.
His first day in the city, an 840-resident mobile home park, will be Monday.
“We’re excited to have Scott on board,” said Tobin Lay, city administrator. “He seems to have the right personality and fit for the city, its residents and staff.”
Lay, who has been city administrator since June 2021, is leaving the city to focus on his mediation practice.
Hildebrand previously served as village administrator of Turtle Lake, Wis.; city administrator of Valley Center Kan.; professional standards manager of Rochester, Minn., and risk manager/assistant city attorney of Lenexa, Kan. He also has worked as a staff attorney for the League of Kansas Municipalities.
Hildebrand has a law degree from Washburn University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Oklahoma State University. He also has a certified public manager certificate from the University of Kansas.
Landfall officials in October hired Adam Carlson to be the city’s new public works superintendent. He is the son of the city’s late longtime public works superintendent, Troy Carlson, who died in April of medical complications, Lay said.
“It’s been quite a year,” Lay said.
