The Duluth League of Women Voters has proposed a motorized registration booth that would carry a registration clerk, a stenographer and necessary equipment throughout the city to help register voters who may have difficulty getting downtown.

Freeborn County, Minnesota, dry since 1915, voted in a special election to legalize the sale of liquor, while Kandiyohi County voted to remain dry. Albert Lea contributed greatly to Freeborn’s “wet count,” where the vote ran 2 to 1 in favor of legalizing liquor sales.
