Photos and video: Memorial Day parade returns to West Duluth

27 May 2024

DULUTH — From military groups to marching bands, a large crowd gathered Monday for the annual West Duluth Memorial Day Parade to honor and remember the military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Participants started lining up around 10:30 a.m., ahead of the 12:30 p.m. start time. With sunshine and temperatures in the 60s, spectators along Grand Avenue and North Central Avenue were treated to an afternoon of sights and sounds from the parade, which included veterans, the Duluth East and Denfeld high school bands, antique cars, floats, candy and more.

The annual parade is organized by the Duluth Women of Today.
