Two from Austin injured in Friday crash near Blooming Prairie

Two from Austin were among those injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday afternoon near Blooming Prairie.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Ler Hay, 52, and Naw Gay, 41, were traveling southbound in a 2013 Land Rover Range Rover on Highway 218 when it collided with a 2017 Toyota Sienna, which was traveling northbound.

The crash took place at around 2:35 p.m. Sunday afternoon at mile marker 28. Hay was transported to the hospital in Owatonna with non-life threatening injuries. Gay was uninjured.

The driver of the Sienna, Sunday Paw, 27, of Willmar, was also transported with non-life threatening injuries. Seven other occupants of the vehicle were uninjured.

The Blooming Prairie Police Department, Fire Department, Ambulance along with the Steele County Sheriff’s Office and Mayo Ambulance responsed.
