Moose Lake man seriously injured in rollover on Interstate 35

WINDEMERE TOWNSHIP — A Moose Lake man is seriously injured after a one-vehicle rollover on Interstate 35 in Pine County.

The crash happened at 5:19 a.m. Thursday. The Minnesota State Patrol said that a Chevrolet Silverado truck driven by Richard Thomas Herzfeldt, 38, of Moose Lake, was traveling south on I-35 near the Laketown Road bridge when the vehicle left the road, rolled and came to a rest on its roof.

According to the state patrol, Herzfeldt was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale with life-threatening injuries. The state patrol also said Herzfeldt wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

Assisting the Minnesota State Patrol with the incident were the Pine County Sheriff’s Office, Moose Lake Fire Department, Essentia Ambulance and North Memorial Air Care.
