Tentative agreement reached between Minneapolis Park and Rec and union workers

Pauleen Le, Kirsten Mitchell, et al. at WCCO News are reporting the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and its workers have reached a tentative agreement after a three-week strike, LIUNA Local 363 announced Friday morning. The park board confirmed both sides are at the bargaining table to “finalize details.”

Via the Associated Press: The Miracle of Birth Center at the Minnesota State Fair, that features an array of baby farm animals and their moms, will go on this year — but without birthing cows as fears of bird flu create worry within the dairy cattle industry.

Chef Reactions plans to attend and has also been invited to throw out the first pitch at a St. Paul Saints baseball game while he’s in town.
