Beatrice G. Hemann, 98

Beatrice Genevieve Hemann, 98, of Adams, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Beatrice was born October 26, 1926 to Oliver and Anna (Fink) Gerhart and grew up on the family farm in Johnsburg, Minnesota.

Beatrice married Raymond Hemann on June 4, 1946, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Johnsburg. Together they farmed on Beatrice’s family dairy farm near Johnsburg for over 40 years until their retirement in 1985 when they moved to Adams, Minnesota, where they enjoyed the next 30 years together.

Beatrice was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and later Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Beatrice’s roadmap to life was faith, family and friends. She loved people and everyone loved her. Her interests were baking, embroidery, sewing, and card playing. Over the years in retirement Raymond and Beatrice enjoyed traveling together, which included vacationing in Canada, Hawaii, Alaska and Europe. Beatrice loved her grandchildren and there were many card games, puzzles, slumber parties and special times together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Anna Gerhart; sisters, Agnes, Marcella and Ardella; her husband of 69 years, Raymond; daughter, Sharon; and son, Marvin.

Beatrice is survived by her children, Ronald (Bonnie) Hemann, Owatonna, Minnesota, Janice (Julian) Bergstrom, Plymouth, Minnesota, Elaine May, Rochester, Minnesota, Audrey (Steven) Schroeder, Adams, Minnesota, Mary (Steven) Maiers, Fairmont, Minnesota, Jerome (Roxan) Hemann, Aitkin, Minnesota, Daryl (Judy) Hemann, Kasson, Minnesota; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams with Father James Berning officiating. Visitation will be held at the Adams Funeral Home from 5-7 pm on Thursday with a 4:45 pm Rosary, and will continue at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30 am on Friday. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
