“Art and Artifact: Murals from the Minneapolis Uprising,” is an exhibit on display through Dec. 7 at the University of Minnesota Katherine E. Nash Gallery, 405 21st Ave. S., Mpls., featuring 100 color images of murals created in the Twin Cities in 2020 following the murder of George Floyd. Steve Brust, one of the “godparents” of the Twin Cities science fiction writing community and a national bestselling author, announces a new edition of “To Reign in Hell,” from Tor Essentials. First published in 1984, it’s a retelling of Satan’s revolt against Heaven with sympathy for Lucifer and his allies. With a new introduction by Roger Zelazny, author of “Lord of Light.”
Joe Prosit, Brainerd-based author of science fiction, horror and psychological thrillers, is releasing the second volume of his short story collection “Machines Monsters and Maniacs,” with 20 short stories previously published in magazines and podcasts. He promises the collection will “bring you deeper into the worlds of the cybernetic, the insane, and the macabre than ever before.”
