Minnesota Department of Corrections investigating drug smuggling at Stillwater Prison

Jay Kolls at KSTP reports after more than a dozen staff members at the Stillwater Correctional Facility became ill after inhaling smoke from an illegal synthetic drug, the Minnesota Department of Corrections put the prison on lockdown searching for the synthetic marijuana drug called K-2. There are now multiple investigations underway outside the prison to determine who’s responsible for smuggling the drugs in.

Estelle Timar-Wilcox at MPR News is reporting a St. Louis Park man accused of killing two people in a drunk driving crash was granted release from jail Tuesday. Fifty-six-year-old Steven Frane Bailey posted bond on $500,000 conditional bail.

Joey Peters at Sahan Journal reports Kawsar Jama pleaded guilty Monday in the Feeding Our Future case, admitting she stole $1.3 million and spent it on personal expenses like a Tesla and new house. Jama is the 22nd defendant to admit fault in the sprawling fraud case.
