Man charged in attack on north Minneapolis homeless shelter

WCCO reports the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office has brought charges against a 30-year-old man for an attack on a north Minneapolis homeless shelter in September.

Minnesota Reformer’s Max Nesterak writes: “Evergreen Acres Dairy will pay $250,000 in back wages and make repairs to its worker housing to settle a lawsuit brought by Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, who alleged the dairy’s owners underpaid hundreds of workers while charging them for squalid, cockroach-infested housing.”

KAXE’s Larissa Donovan reports the White House has designated Beltrami County as a high-intensity drug trafficking area. “The area has seen a 12,500% increase in methamphetamine seizures and a 28,500% increase in opioid seizures in the last decade.”

Star Tribune reports Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport added a new express lane for pickups and drop-offs at Terminal 2 in hopes of easing traffic congestion.
