Thumbs up to Blooming Prairie softball. The Awesome Blossoms are back in the state tournament. Congratulations to the Blooming Prairie softball team for rebounding from an ugly 21-1 loss to win the Section 1A championship. Good luck!
Thumbs up to local archaeology. A partnership between the Mower County Historical Society and Hamline University is resulting in a survey of Mower County that will delve into the Native American history of the region. Already know for its Chert Quarry find, Mower County will now benefit even more from knowing its history.
Thumbs up to the county for bridges. Being able to jump on federal funding when they had the chance is giving Mower County the chance to replace a pair of county bridges with minimal impact to the county. This kind of thrift by the county is another example of the county make using the opportunities its afforded for the betterment of us all.
