The Austin Fire Department will hold its annual open house from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
People will be able to explore the station and take truck tours, view an auto extrication demo, spray the fire hose, dress as a firefighter, adult fire extinguisher and enjoy a refreshment and a snack.
Kids will also get to meet Sparky the Fire Dog.
