William Magie, of 1515 London Road, will be present to welcome Prince Edward of Wales as he makes a stop in Duluth tomorrow through a direct invitation from the prince. Magie met the prince through a mutual friend living in the east.

Frank Paradise has retired after more than 42 years with the Duluth Police Department. Paradise recalls that the year he was hired, horse-drawn paddy wagons were in their last year of service with the department. Many policemen of the time sported handlebar mustaches, he said.
