Due to high winds and dry conditions, a red flag warning has been issued, which includes Mower, Dodge and Fillmore counties.
The warning will be in effect through to 7 p.m. tonight.
Low relative humidity along with gusty southwesterly winds are contributing to the threat prompting the warning. Winds are expected to sit between 15 and 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph possible. Any fire has the potential to spread quickly.
