What qualifies you to hold this position? I am already helping our hometown through rapid growth in my current roles as Rosemount City Councilmember, and Port Authority Vice Chair and Commissioner. I bring proven leadership experience including past president and board member of Rosemount Area Athletic Association. I am a business professional, wife, mom and Dakota County business owner.
What would your top priorities be if elected? 1) Quality of life: A safe, clean community with services and public safety, while balancing fiscal responsibility. 2) Planful growth: Work closely with stakeholders to address traffic control, land use and appropriate development plans. 3) Hometown feel: Keeping residents engaged through communication, visibility, and events.
What do you think is the primary role of government? A primary role is to maintain and enhance livability for residents. This includes little things first: parks, trails, snow removal, safety. Once you get these “little things” right, you can focus on the big things. In our case, this entails active participation in planning land use and attracting commercial and residential growth.
