Wisconsin woman killed in western Minnesota crash identified

GLYNDON TOWNSHIP, Minn. — The Stevens Point, Wisconsin, woman killed in a crash along Interstate 94 in Glyndon Township has been identified.

90-year-old Barbara Patricia Klasinski was killed Friday, May 24, when the Chevrolet Suburban in which she was traveling went off the road, hit a cable barrier, then reentered the roadway and collided with a semi truck and trailer.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred in heavy rain at roughly 3:36 p.m. Friday.

Driver Michael Gerald Wimme, 64, and passenger Michele Mary Klasinski Wimme, 66, were uninjured. Both are residents of Marco Island, Florida.

Jean Anne Stroik, a 91-year-old Stevens Point resident, sustained injuries that were not considered to be life threatening.

All those in the Suburban were wearing their seat belts.

Brandon Jeffrey Byron, a 28-year-old Fargo resident, was driving the semi and was uninjured.

Glyndon Township is located in Clay County, just east of the Fargo-Moorhead metro area.
